It may be kept in complete privacy, at the heart of 10,000m² of manicured grounds, but contemporary luxury villa VILLA SUI a is far from the shy and retiring type. The lounge is hung with huge primary-hued artworks and strewn with zebra-skin rugs, one bedroom has a Buddha statue towering over the bed and a canoe is proudly displayed in one of the ensuites. The folly isn’t allowed to run too wild – high ceilings, concrete floors, and a pool area that looks like a music-video set keep proceedings stylish. The villa’s also close to Santa Gertrudis in the centre of the island, one of Ibiza’s most covetable spots. There’s a tennis court, and our favourite bedroom has a private pool with Jacuzzi jets: form an orderly queue…

The huge master bedroom has white walls hung with modern art and chic polished-concrete surfaces. It has a queen-size bed and open-plan ensuite with a bath tub, shower and canoe displayed on a plinth. From the large private terrace guests can spy the sea.

Bedroom 2 has clean white walls and smooth concrete surfaces with a slight industrial edge. Painted hangings cover one wall, and it has a king-size bed, open-plan ensuite with a bath tub and shower, and direct access to the garden.

Bedroom 3’s reds and pinks add plenty of warmth. There’s a king-size bed, huge windows overlooking the countryside, and an ensuite shower room. Its most impressive asset is a private, heated indoor swimming pool.

Light and airy bedroom 4 has a king-size bed with an open-plan ensuite with a bath tub and shower. This room overlooks the gardens.

Guest rooms 5 and 6 have private entrances with no direct access to the main villa.
